Adventurous Outdoor Wedding In Red Lodge, Montana

Brooke & Hayden | Outdoor Wedding | Venue 406 | Red Lodge, Montana | July 9th, 2021

Brooke & Hayden’s wedding in Red Lodge, Montana last year was an absolute dream. I remember feeling so fulfilled and so happy on the drive home. For me, this wedding was a moment where everything clicked and it honestly solidified my love of being a wedding photographer. It reminded me how incredible this job is. It’s hard to put into words how much love and joy I felt watching these two get married. For a little context, Brooke and I are childhood friends and this day really became a full circle moment for me. Throughout the day, I experienced so many moments where I had flashbacks of memories growing up with Brooke. I just beamed with happiness and pride that she found someone like Hayden to love her so well. Being so personally tied to the bride and her family, I was so lucky to experience each intimate detail of the wedding day. Spending the day with each of their families felt like old times and it was very obvious that Brooke & Hayden are so loved. I texted Brooke after the wedding and told her "this day was not only a dream as an artist, but also as a friend". I’m not sure if there’s any other way to explain it. From the wedding venue, the gorgeous sunny day, the amazing couple, wedding party and families, it really is hard to top a day like this. These two were set on having a traditional look - which if you know me - isn’t exactly my preference. However, these two were so organized, so punctual, and trusted in me so much, that the traditional look worked out perfectly. We had plenty of time for group portraits, couples portraits, and even a private vow reading before the ceremony where they stood back to back. I genuinely think I cried about 10 different times throughout the day. Brooke & Hayden are two of the kindest, most genuine people I know and they are even better as a couple. They threw an amazing celebration and I feel so lucky and honored that I got to hangout all day behind my lens and document their wedding.
