About the Session:
I’ve known Sara for a few years now, so you can imagine how honored (and giddy!) I was when she reached out to me for this project. As a certified book lover, Sara set out to create What Sara Reads — a customized mobile bookstore built around sharing her love of reading with other women in the community. I could not adore her or this business more. For this session, we wanted to give people a glimpse into what makes What Sara Reads so special which is her vibrant and kind personality, her love of reading, and the personalized experience she creates for every shopper.

We started at the amazing Convolo event space in downtown Sioux Falls for headshots and lifestyle imagery of Sara, followed by mocktails at Highball Bar before heading outside for the next part of the shoot.
Outside, one of our biggest priorities was showing What Sara Reads in action. With the help of three lovely models, Alex, Christine, and Nicole, we captured the personalized shopping experience Sara is known for.
From prop sourcing to furniture rentals, a lot of thought went into bringing this vision to life. We partnered with Prairie Lane Vintage Rentals for the adorable wicker bookcase, and I love how all the details came together!
I am so excited with how everything turned out, and my heart was so full after this day. Getting to work with passionate business owners and collaborate with other local creatives is one of my favorite parts of what I do. We are so, so lucky to have a community like Sioux Falls!
