Winter Engagement Session In Sioux Falls, SD

I’ve been incredibly excited to share this fun winter engagement session with Rachel and Ben. These two are actually getting married in the Black Hills in the Spring, but just like me, they live in Sioux Falls. Since I do almost half of my weddings in the Black Hills, working with these two really felt like the perfect match. Winter sessions can be tough with darker light, lack of greenery, and bitter cold temps, but honestly, this session was so much fun and we got to shoot at some of my favorite places in the Sioux Falls area. We started the session at Sertoma Park and then ended up at Lake Alvin, just outside of Sioux Falls. The muted tones at Sertoma turned out to photograph really nicely and then the stunning scenery at Lake Alvin was my absolute favorite part of the session. These two were troopers and withstood the cold while having a lot of fun. I really love the results of this engagement session and I loved getting to know both Rachel and Ben. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding in May!
