Whimsical Outdoor Wedding At Ivory North In Mora, Minnesota

Emily and Brett’s wedding was a dream to be a part of. Emily is one of my best friends from college and also one of the sweetest people I know. We both played basketball at Augustana and she and I along with the other gals that were in our incoming recruiting class were instant friends. We all just clicked and I think each year that passes by, I am more and more thankful for how lucky we all were to find each other in college. Emily and I got to have so many adventures together through our time at Augustana and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, it was just one of those full-circle moments. I felt so excited and grateful that she wanted me to be a part of her wedding in this way. 

I had only met Brett a handful of times before the two of them got engaged, so this process really allowed me to get to know and form a relationship with him! We spent over a year facetiming, calling, and texting and last September, I also got to spend a weekend with the two of them at Brett’s family’s cabin in Minnesota for their engagement photos. It was so special to get to catch up with Emily and really get to know them as a couple! 

This day really was a culmination of so much thought, planning, love, and joy. Emily and Brett are both so easy going and they navigated their wedding day beautifully. Wedding days are obviously busy and despite all the photos, coordination, and talking with guests, the two of them were by each other's side the whole time. They really are a great team and it’s so beautiful to see how they balance eachother out. 

Ivory North was an absolutely beautiful venue. There are so many unique features that were so fun to photograph and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to shoot here. Emily & Brett’s vision for their day came together perfectly at this venue and it was all just an amazing dream. 

I’m absolutely over the moon for these two friends of mine and I can’t wait to share their photos. I can’t thank them enough for having me be their wedding photographer. Cheers to you two!
