La Luna Café here in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a family owned, small business. They serve delicious coffee and lattes along with a great variety of delicious food. When we planned their product photography session, I really wanted to showcase some of their most popular food items along with some of their beverages. They were kind enough to prepare all kinds of food ranging from a banana waffle, avocado toast, breakfast pizza, and veggie bowl. They also made a latte and one of their amazing Oreo shakes. I can attest that the food was not only beautiful, but it tasted AMAZING.

For a shoot like this, it usually makes sense to use the space we have and luckily, La Luna Café has a really nice atmosphere full of vibrant furniture and clean, white surfaces. The natural light in the café helped create really clean and beautiful images and their adorable succulents were a nice accent as well. We also wanted to include a few brand photos of them preparing the drinks.

The goal of this photoshoot was to create a bank of branded images for the owners of La Luna to use for their social media and their website. Creating content for small businesses like La Luna is so much fun and incredibly rewarding. It’s been great to see how they’ve used these images for content and to share about their amazing food and drinks.
