Winter Engagement Session at Badlands National Park

I have lived in South Dakota my entire life and have never made it to Badlands National Park… people are absolutely shocked when I tell them that, especially since I have quite the affinity for the outdoors! I travel across the state all the time and to be honest, it’s just a little incovenient. But when Errin suggested that she and Carl’s engagement photos should be at the Badlands I was STOKED.

Even though this session was in January, the weather was incredible and we had the entire park nearly to ourselves. I was so pleased at how many amazing and accessible locations there were for photos and I had such a blast hanging out with my bestie and her love for this shoot. We even got treated to some Bighorn Sheep on our way out of the park!

These are some of my favorite engagement photos that I’ve taken and I know for sure that I’ll be back in the Badlands soon! These two are such cuties and I cannot wait for their Sedona wedding next fall!
